Paul Ryan declines ...

Paul Ryan has officially stated that he will not vie for the position of House Minority Leader. He states that the time demands would reduce the time he could spend with his young family.

"The Wall Street Journal apparently didn’t get the word that U.S. Rep Paul Ryan, R-Wis., of Janesville, was not interested in being the new House minority leader." (Link to Article)

Excellent! Not only is he a man of purpose and ability, but he knows where his responsibilities lie. His family comes before his career. I applaud him for his decision.

Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel published a political blog quoting Ryan as saying "It's time for new people to step up ... It's time for the reformers to kick out the dead wood...We need a fire hose to clean out the party."

I'd like to hear more about what he has to say on this subject. I would like to see the reformers kick out the centrists, for starters.

Here is a FoxNews interview Ryan held with Brit Hume on the subject: Article Link
